What are text appointment reminders?
Text reminders are short messages (SMS) sent to customers to remind them of upcoming appointments.

OAM2 allows you to create a template so that reminders can be sent automatically a set number of days before the appointment. Once this is set up there is no longer the need to be ringing or manually sending reminders to customers. For most business this results in hours of effort saved every month.

SMS credits from OAM2 are available for as little as 10 cents per SMS. Don't be fooled by your mobile carrier with promises of "free SMS" messaging. They are simply hiding the cost in your monthly fee.

Can I send reminders manually?
Yes. You simply click the appointment in the calendar and select "Send SMS". In fact we encourage users to use the manual sending until they are satisified with the format of the message produced by their template.
Is it expensive?
No. You can choose a package which includes SMS credits as part of your monthly subscription. Depending on the package, these included SMS end up costing 10 cents or less.
What if I only send a few a month?
You can choose a package which does not include SMS credits and then purchase these separately.
Why are your SMS credits so cheap?
Compared to some of our competitors, our SMS credits are very cheap. We are able to buy SMS credits in bulk and then provide them to our customers. We are sure our competitors do the same, so the real question should be, "Why are your competitors' SMS credits so expensive?"
Can I send text messages to others?
Yes. You can manually send an SMS message to a customer, or a personnel, or any mobile phone number. All we require is that you follow the applicable laws with regard to consent.
Can I send email reminders too / instead?
Yes. Email reminders are also available.
Can I send bulk text messages?
Not yet. But we are looking at the possibility of implementing this soon, so stay tuned.
